My Experience at the Best Acupuncturist in Cape Town

I had the pleasure of having 12 needles stuck into my body in special pressure points today. Dr. Lin, regarded by many as the best in the industry in Cape Town, did the work.

This required a lot of trust from my side, since I really don’t like needles. But hey, I’m typing this right now so everything went OK! I wanted to go and detox, destress and focus and after telling him this, he knew exactly what to do. He made me lie down on my back, and stuck a need in between my eyes, on top of my head and next to each temple. He stuck a couple more in my arms and hands, a couple in my feet and two more in my knees.

At first the jolts of pain were very uncomfortable, but when he left the room I closed my eyes and started relaxing. My whole body felt limp and heavy, as if it were sinking into the comfortable bed. At a point I experienced strange sensations all around my body as the chi started flowing freely again – I even saw flashes of light when I closed my eyes, as if I were dreaming.

Then another oaf came into the room, and squealed like a little girl each time a needle went into him. Not only that, but he fell asleep soon after and snored louder than he could blow a vuvuzela. Needless to say, that was the end of my semi lucid dream state.

I found it hard to work and move for a few hours afterwards, and became very sleepy too. The thing about acupuncture is that you are supposed to rest and sleep, and afterwards when you wake up and your body has started expelling all the built up toxins of months prior, you feel like a newborn race horse. After having slept for an hour or two, I feel amazingly light, clear and focused as I type this – its as if I have had the best effects of both coffee and green tea amplified several times inside of me.

I definitely suggestion anyone in Cape Town to give acupuncture a try with Dr. Lin – he is the best. Give him a call at 021 761 7742. He also has a blog at http://drylin.blogspot.com/.
